This hand cast was done for me at the hospital while Jordan was hooked up to life support. They did this for me because at this time we already new he was dieing and they wanted me to have a special memory of him! I had it framed into a glass box frame. And if you look attached to the frame is a pic of me holding jordan the day i had him:)

That is so beautiful. You have wonderful people in your life!
When Matt died they'd shaved part of his hair and they gave me a lock to put in his baby book. I cherish that. I've also got molds of his hands and feet and drawings he did when he was only a 1 year. With Roxy and Juliana, I got the dresses they were wearing (they were tiny, the babies were SO tiny) and I framed them with a picture and a poem my son wrote, and they're hanging on the wall above a big picture of Matt I had framed with his handprints before he died. It's wonderful to have these memoirs, they keep you brave when times are hard, because you remember how beautiful these children were to you. |
