I do follow trends, I’ve opted for many shopping newsletters to keep myself updated on changing trends. I think part of the fun of fashion is the trends, so I'll join in if I like it & it's flattering on me. I don't spend a lot on trendy pieces though. I also don't wear more than one trend at a time or wear trendy stuff every day. But again nothing worse than looking like a slave to trends.

So do you jump on the trendy bandwagon or do you like to express your individuality?

Nope, I am now and forever will be a fashion DON'T, much to my friends' embarassment . . . but they still love me even if they don't like to be seen in public with me! tongue.gif

Nope. I try at times, but it's too expensive and well my fashion goes to the waste side to pay for other necessities. Believe me, if I had the money AND the time, I may be more inclined to do so. happy.gif

depends on the trend. I'm totally into the scarf thing right now and fedora. But I tend to dress how i feel.
bad day : jeans and tee
good day: nicer jeans and nice top or blouse.
great day: dress.

shoes have to match as needed smile.gif

Since we have raised in a society where one can only become an important support for strong or the other so then you can follow a logical development. power instead of necessity, or develops a cult celebrity, you can do to its popularity and should be the norm. Everyone has a purpose in life also, and adopted the following fashion trends is another way to do it.

hmmmmmmmm. As an English teacher, if ramirez handed that post in to me for a writing assignment, I would hand it back with "needs clarification" written across the top, which is the teacher way of saying, "Wtf?"

In response to the original question, I'd say I'm aware of trends, know what's in and what's out, and I adapt what I can to my age and body type. Nothing worse than a 46 yo trying to look like a teenager, but I don't want to throw in the towel, either. My female students keep a very close eye on my wardrobe--it's a lot of pressure--but dressing at least like I have a clue somehow gives me some street 'cred with them, for whatever that's worth.

I dont follow fashion trends, because there are some of them are not in my tastes. I sometimes stick to old design. I dont care what other people think, as long as i like my own fashion. tongue.gif biggrin.gif

No, what's the point? After a few months, the trend would have faded, and then you would have spent a lot of money on clothes that aren't even "in" anymore. And most people who follow fashion trends would probably quit wearing them and start buying newest "in" clothes. What a waste.
