GL!!

Shelly, what are her eating problems? Do you know if they will have her seem something like a "feeding team". When Megan was little we saw the pedi gastro doc, a feeding team along with her occupational therapist. We may be headed toward seeing a feeding team again at the rate we are going. happy.gif

Yes she is seeign a feeding team as well as the occupational therapist. the have a eating room ready to go for her when we get there. im not sure what the team is made of but will when we get there:) They want to see her eat something soft like a pudding, and then something crunchy like crackers or a granola bar, and a drink.

Why does meagan need to see one again? Is it the way she eats or teh types of foods she is having problems with?

Megan saw a feeding team for a long time for severe gag reflex and forward tongue thrust movement - it made it difficult for her to swallow foods and chew them (as a toddler - as an infant she couldn't take a bottle due to those issues). She still has trouble chewing foods and they may send her back to one for those issues, I'm not sure. She can't chew most meats right now. If she has to chew too long she gags and chokes on it.
