Ok, so its been like 2 months since I had Isabelle, I've had my 6 week check up. Healed up good to go.
So why does it still hurt when we DTD?? I feel bad b/c he REALLY wants to do it. But it hurts, so I don't. We're using lube (as the dr suggested) but it still is sore. Like where they cut me. Does that typically go away??? -------------------- |

I have three kids and I have never hurt that long. If it doesn't ease up soon, you may want to ask the doctor.

I had an episiotomy with Brooke and the scar took a bit longer than 6 weeks to heal to the point where it wasn't sore. It might have been 8 weeks but I think it was a bit less than that.

Ditto. (well, except for the 3 kids thing~LOL). I was good to go after a month. I don't think, unless you had an extreme amount of stitches, you should still be in pain. -------------------- Cheryl, Olivia's mom

I don't know how many stitches I had. It seemed like it took forever to stitch up though. I wish they wouldn't of done it. The dr that did it wasn't my dr, and Isabelle's head was out when she snipped me. I don't think she did that great of a job b/c she was literally coming out when she did it. I'm a little irritated that she didn't just let me go.
Well, we're right at the 8 week mark. So I don't know. I'll give it just a little longer and go back if it doesn't get better. Although it doesn't make me happy that nobody else had this problem... -------------------- |

It took a long time for it to stop hurting for me too. Much longer than the six week mark. Just give yourself time to heal - and when you dtd tell your dh you need to go slowly, that helps.

I had a lot of pain too. Longer than 6 weeks. It felt like I was DTD for the first time. Hated it. Just need more time to heal i think, and go slow and it will eventually go back to normal. Did for me anyway.

I never had a baby vag,had a c/s and it still took months for me hooha not to hurt during sex. Try to explain that one . It was about 3.5-4 months before it was comfortable again.

Ok, well I feel a little better now. I feel bad, b/c I really don't want to DTD (b/c it hurts!) and he is feeling a little shunned
I think if we had more time to "get ready" it'd help too -------------------- |

I think most men feel "shunned" after 8 weeks......... It will get better I am sure.....but get it checked out in a few weeks if it isn't better -------------------- |

Shunned? Tell him to get over it.... There are other ways he can get some action.
