I'm so sorry to keep bringing this up blahblah.gif ...but just thought you may want to know that I had my Biophysical exam today and here's how it went:

Bad news first: I had to wait an hour in the waiting room (okay no biggie). But also, they think the reason I'm not getting as much movement is because baby is breech. He was head down a few weeks ago, so the change in position could casue me to feel a change in movement (makes sense). sad.gif

Good news: He scored a 10 out of 10 on the test!!!! smile.gif Amniotic fluid measured at 14 - anything between a 10 and 20 is good! Baby measured exactly 33 weeks 6 days - which also means he is weighing in at a little over 5 lbs (so not a small baby as suspected)! His breathing and heartbeat are normal! horray.gif And placenta is in the back, so that's obviously not blocking his kicks.

Oh, and baby is DEFINITELY a little boy! wub.gif

Thanks for everyones support! Sorry to be such a stress-case lately! wacko.gif

and you have lots of time for baby to turn. Kaleigh was breech until 8mos also and turned on her own.

Yea for Wes smile.gif and wow at already measuring over 5 lbs.

and kinda funny about feeling less movements when he turned breech...this one is the only one i have felt consistent kicks with and we are thinking it's because she's breech

I sure hope so!! I still have about six weeks, so I'm assuming he will make the move within that time. DH is scared about it though...I'm not really. Anyone know any tricks to get him to flip or is it useless to even try???

That's interesting! I think they mean that I'm feeling less movement because I'm comparing it to when he was head down and kicking like crazy. So not solely because he's breech, but because it's a different position and the kicks may be inward more. I think that's what they meant anyway! laugh.gif

I totally understand...for me havig an anterior placenta blocked all the kicks because it was where I would have been feeling them. This time I am feeling everything right on my cervex so far away from the placenta and oh so comfortable

I'm so glad that everything went well, and that he's a healthy little man. smile.gif

I have heard that there are some exercises that you can do with an exercise ball that will help to move a baby from breech to head down position, but I'm not sure what they are. I'm sure if you do a google search you'll be able to find something. Maybe a midwife site might have some ideas? unsure.gif Just a thought.

I hope he moves around the right way for ya. hug.gif

Rae, not to worry you AT ALL bc there's no need for worry but we found out that Tripp was breech when I was about 7 months pregnant. He never moved from this position. The doctor gave me an exercise to do and I had to do it twice a day which I did. He told me to lie on my back, place my legs on a chair and lift my butt up into the air--Tripp never budged. Tripp also had his legs criss crossed in an Indian style so they don't think he could move his legs very well. They did offer to try and move him for me but I didn't go with that method over fear for hurting him. I'm sure he'll flip around, my doc also told me that this late in the game if he does flip you will SURELY know it hug.gif Best wishes

Rae, I'm so glad to hear that wesley is a perfect little troublemaker!! emlaugh.gif

About being breech, he still Does have pleanty of time to turn and if he doesn't they do have a procedure some docs will do to turn the baby if they are good at it and experienced they can turn him so dont' think that no matter what you will have to have c/s....there are a few options but if you do have one you will be fine too! hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif
