Can you tell I am an addict when it comes to message boards? I just think it is the best way to get info and to meet new people!!! horray.gif

I post at Like-minded mamas. It's a message board for mom's who tend to think a bit differently than the 'norm'.

Actually, TLCdad.. most (editing to say, I should say many, not most) forums at ezboard frown upon posting other forums in your signature. And because ezboard has it set up so that you use one signature for all boards you frequent, I do not post any forums in my sig. I dont' even advertise my own forums in my signature. smile.gif I do, however, post it in my profile.

If they follow the rules of etique, it states it should be allowed as long as your posts are relevant to the topic, etc. Whats funny I noticed some of the forums that do not allow such things have spammed in the past to get their own boards/websites popular dunno.gif ... not any of the mentioned aboved but some boards I have visited.

I guess I just do not know how else to advertise ;(

Ah, but most boards want you to post at THEIR board ... and not pull their members away to another board.

We tend to delete posts that have links in the signatures ... esp. if they are new and it is their first post or something. I think when they do that, they are not really wanting to be a part of our board ... just see how they can spam it. Just my opinion.

When they post are their post relevant? Or are the just posting useless stuff just to show their signature. Honestly I do not see the harm in it unless it is direct competition or the link is totally unacceptable (porn, etc). But I do see your point. What about links to websites and not another forum (ezboard). Soon Parenting Club will be more than just a forum.

That post about childcare providers ... and there was one last week about *something* ... I see that post as spam. She has no desire to be a part of this community ... she is just spamming ...and we have no idea that it is even legitimate.

Just my opinion.
