I just bought some hair serum--for my ends, they get really dry. I haven't used it yet and was wondering if it makes your hair greasy. Has anybody used it before? It looks like oil....

It's more silky than oily. It's never made my hair greasy and I have pretty thin hair, too.

I havent tried that one. I buiy this stuff from the salon to keep the frizz down, I had to get it from the salon cause all the others I bought were like oil and I cant stand that either.

Just start with a little dab and add more if you need to.

Exactly. A little goes a long way. And don't start at the roots because you probably already have enough oil there. Massage it in your palms first and comb your fingers through the ends of your hair. -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01

Is it better to put it on when your hair is wet or dry? -------------------- |

I use a straightening serum when I flat iron, and I use literally about 1/4 of the recommended amount. It says a dime size bit on your hand, but my hair still got really "slick" it seemed- it was weird. Plus, I have really thick and pretty long hair too, so I was shocked.
If you're REALLY conservative with it, then it should work well without weighing it down or making it too greasy. That's just my experience though! -------------------- |

Dry. Oil and water don't mix well, so I think you would have a hard time drying it with the serum in your hair, kwim? I know this because I've tried it!! And I got an oily mess underneath, matted hair that wouldn't dry. After you blowdry or flat iron, you rub some in to "set" it and make it look real shiny/glossy. -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01

It works, but do not use a whole lot, a little goes a LONG way.
