yesterday for the first time I allowed Caleb to go with our neighbor lady and their 8 yr old to the town pool swimming with out me. It was the first time I let him drive with someone else in their car..or let him go anywhere where I wouldnt be supervising him.
I was a wreck for the two hours he was gone.

I know he has to go to do these things, to put into practice the morals and values and right and wrong decisions we have taught him, but man it was hard.
He is only 7.

I am just so paranoid about other parents not being as careful as I am..I am super careful with my kids. I am scared to death of pedaphiles, kidnappers, and almost all the bad things that happen in this bad world daily.
(I watch entirely to much nancy grace).

But I just see it getting harder not easier letting him go to do the things with his friends that he wants too do..is there any way to make it easier???

No real help from me. Since I had to let go of those things when my girls were little, being they were with a daycare provider all day. So it was easier to let them go with others as well.

Hope it gets easier for you. hug.gif hug.gif

Good for you. Just remember that MOST parents have all our same morals and values for the most extent, and have definetly have our children't safety and concern in mind. I bet he had a great time.
