I've always co-slept with my babies. Kylie sleeps in her bed 1/2 the night and either Ryan or I cosleep the rest of the night w/her. Megan and I have basically co-slept all night since day 1. I did have her sleeping from 7 to 10 in her amby when she was a baby and then when Dh left for LA and Megan started pulling up I transfered her from the amby to her crib. She'd sleep 7 to 10 in there and when I went to bed she's cosleep with me. Then around December she started sleeping some nights from 7 to midnight or the latest one time was 2 am, then the rest of the night with me. Well this past week she started sleeping 7 (7:30) and getting up at 9:30 pm (like clockwork every night) I nurse her again and she goes back to sleep...the whole time I'm thinking she'd still wake up by midnight to sleep with me at least. Well every day this week she's slept til 5:30/6 am!!!!!!!!!!!! On one hand I'm happy but on the other I'm so super sad. bawling.gif I want to cosleep with her a bit longer bawling.gif bawling.gif but she's obviously ready to do her own thing so I have to be fine with it. We slept together for naps this weekend, though. wub.gif

Anyways, it seems so strange that my youngest (10 months) sleeps all night and my oldest still can't at age 3! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Course I know this could be short-lived with Megan but it's been one day shy of a week! Kylie never gave me that! happy.gif

Well of course I'd love for her to keep co-sleeping, but I also know I need to let her grow and if sleeping all night in her crib is what her body is ready to do I can't argue with that. It's not like I'm getting any more sleep than I did before because Booga STILL gets up at night to sleep with us and she's a WILD sleeper. I get kicked in the head or gut many times. rolleyes.gif happy.gif

hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif {{{HUGS}}} Karen! What a difficult time! My girls are the exact same way! Kayla sleeps all night in her toddler bed in their room, but Hannah sleeps with us. Well, usually with DH, since I usually get kicked out of the bed rolleyes.gif .

Maybe you can work out a compromise somehow. Or sleep with her during her naps on the weekend if that's possible.

Actually, that sounds like heaven to me!! LOL! I know I would miss my girls if they weren't in bed with me, but I would NOT miss the kicks to the head/back/face or waking up with a stiff neck every morning wink.gif

laugh.gif Now I would be in heaven if Kylie moved out of our bed at this point, because she does a lot of kung-fo (sp?) in our bed at night. She always manages to knock the crap out of me, but is so gentle when sleeping w/her father. rolleyes.gif

I would feel a little sad too, but if she likes sleeping alone, well... enjoy those naps smile.gif

IDK if when the day comes that our girls get out of our bed, that we willl celebrate by buying a smaller bed (we have a queen). party.gif jazzband.gif beer.gif partydance.gif Or if we will be sad. sad.gif hmmm..... bigthink.gif

I am still contemplating buying a king size, just so that we can all be comfortable. Take that back, so that "I" can be comfortable. Everyone else hogs the bed.

lol... we have a king and it still isn't big enough on the nights everyone decides to get in. Including the dogs .... thats why I made sure the last time we bought a sofa it was comfy enough for sleeping! cool.gif
