I keep hearing everyone talking about feeding their babies table food. When do you usually start that and with what? Miles has been eating baby food for months now and does great, but I don't know what to do next. He has tried the little gerber veggie puffs and does pretty good with them but I watch him like a hawk. What do you usually give your baby first?
Also, I know that you're not supposed to give a baby under 1 cows milk but what about food that has dairy in it and cheese? Is that kind of thing ok? what about bread? I'm just thinking about softer foods. I guess I'm just concerned because he still chokes on milk once in a while, although he hasn't at all with baby food. Thanks guys -------------------- Katie & Josh: Married 7.14.01

I started with toast...then cheese and on from there. The progression was pretty fast, once he had a taste for it, baby food wasn't interesting anymore.
My pedi said cheese and some yogurt are okay, and a good way to introduce dairy. I just cut everything into tiny pieces, about cheerio size. -------------------- Sheila, Mom to Nathan and Ryan
