I can't believe I've been BF for 10.5 months and still going strong! happy.gif I never imagined I would get this far. I hoped, but since things slowed down with Wil at around 6 months, I just didn't see Wes and I going so long. I feel that my supply is super plentiful (is that a word?), which makes it so much easier to keep going. I have had so many let-downs lately, two at one feeding...I go through phases, but we're doing really well right now which just really blows me away at this point!

Sorry...just tooting my own horn a bit! blush.gif Anyhow, since I imagine we will get to the 12 month mark or further, which feeding do I take out and exchange for cow's milk? He is starting to drink from a cup, which means I NEVER had to use bottles with this kid. Again, I think that's pretty cool...but since it's so different than what I did with Wil, I'm sorta lost as to what the next steps are. I've noticed that he isn't nursing as much mid-day, so is that the feeding I eliminate first? How often do I offer cow's milk if he is still nursing so frequently? (I'm talking when he turns one, not now btw).

I exchanged his least eager feeding for cows milk. He isn't usually wanting to nurse in the afternoon so I give him a sippy with milk. He also gets juice in the morning. If you are enjoying bf him then I wouldn't worry too much about switching him over to cows milk. Just do what is comfortable for both of you.

ETA: Congrats on going so long! Toot your horn all you want. Many moms have trouble getting this far you've done great!
