Does anyone have a recipe for making coloured macaroni? Anthony and I have been doing macaroni art, he loves it and it's something he can do while I clean the kitchen type of thing....I want to expand though and do coloured.

Ya I was hoping not to spend the money on buying it and use food colouring instead. Limited budget.

It is very simple. You need rubbing alcohol and food colors. Make your different colors by putting the food color in some alcohol that is in a plastic ziploc bag, add your macaroni, shake and then put in a pan to dry. This is a smelly process and should be done before working with the kids because you are working with the alcohol.

found this for you, Marie. Google Rocks!!

Yep! That's how I do it. Use more drops of f.c. for darker color, if you are going to mix the colors to make new ones (i.e. purple) make sure you mix it up really well.

I usually put them outside on newspaper to dry for a few hours, but I live in Az, and it's still warm here. rolling_smile.gif
