Here are two recepies for southern BBQ sauce that I know have gotten rave reviews. I've not tried them as it's not my taste, but I know others who love them.
Wicker's Sloshing Sauce: 1 1/4 cups cider vinegar 1 teaspoon black pepper 2 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar 4 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin Combine all ingredients and cook for about ten minutes to dissolve spices. Pig Pickin Sauce: 1 cup cider vinegar 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt, to taste 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper Whisk all ingredients together. If it isn't what you're looking for, let me know, I've got lots of sources. Dee |

Thanks DH will be beyond Thrilled. I will let him pick one, and we will be having it with our pulled pork! We are so desperate for good BBQ. |
