I can be around most other animals, it's just mainly cats that trigger my allergies. Dogs don't bother me AS much but then again, there is a difference in breeds and whether or not they have hair or fur. None of the kids have any known allergies yet. awhat! Group: Members Posts: 10,756 Member No.: 1,984 Joined: 6-June 05	Mya & brad have allergies to cats and dogs actually. if you go tot the american kennel club they have a list of low dander dogs that are usually good for allergy sufferers. dander is the thing that triggers the allergies and cats and most dogs have fur which produces the most dander. Some dogs have hair and those are on the AKC site less dander but still a chance of allergic reaction. we have a shih tzu and he's working out fine with Mya and Brad, as do poodles. as far as cats, there is a naked egyption cat ( I forget the name) and that's pretty much the only choise there. Turtles and fish are cool -------------------- Mya 7-1-00
