Rod and I both have allergies to cats. We suspect Ashley does too. I can be around most other animals, it's just mainly cats that trigger my allergies. Although, I suspect everyone is different.

I'm terribly allergic to cats. I don't know of any alternatives. Sorry, Kimberley.

During adulthood, I've developed an allergy to cats as well. Dogs don't bother me AS much but then again, there is a difference in breeds and whether or not they have hair or fur.
None of the kids have any known allergies yet. However, we're still sticking to fish ![]() -------------------- |

Mya & brad have allergies to cats and dogs actually. if you go tot the american kennel club they have a list of low dander dogs that are usually good for allergy sufferers. dander is the thing that triggers the allergies and cats and most dogs have fur which produces the most dander. Some dogs have hair and those are on the AKC site less dander but still a chance of allergic reaction. we have a shih tzu and he's working out fine with Mya and Brad, as do poodles. as far as cats, there is a naked egyption cat ( I forget the name) and that's pretty much the only choise there.

I don't know of any alternative for people with cat allergys. You could get a snake or a lizard of some kind??
