What can I do about when I get out of bed my legs physically don't feel like they'll hold me?? I get the lovely shooting pains down my legs. Normally my left side, but tonight when I got up to pee (like 5 min ago) it was my right. I made it about 1/2 way out of the bed room and was thankful for the door jam. A few steps and again, grabbing the wall.
I realize sciatic (?) pain is fairly common. But man. And its not the pain. If it was just pain I could walk. But it makes my legs buckle. I almost fell like 3 times walking the 20 feet or whatever to the bathroom. I've seen a chiropractor 3 times (not in a while though). It was great and helped. But man, its like 30 bucks a visit. I just can't keep that up. Is there ANYTHING else?? For the record. I'm am trying not to complain. My pregnancy has been EASY and enjoyable. This is an annoyance, yes. The sugar thing too. But other then that I FEEL good, I'm into my 3rd trimester and still feel good, and still have energy. (I know I'm barely into it, I'm sure it'll all change ) But all in all its been great. She moves tons and is active more in the day then at night. She's JUST starting to jam herself in my ribs, so that's not too bad yet either. My BP has been great. My only problem w/my sugar is in the morning (doesn't seem to matter WHAT I do its still high like 10-15 pts, but WAY low after meals, like high 80s low 90s, sometimes creeping into the single digit 100s). ANYWAY, my point. I'm not trying to complain. I just don't like not being able to walk.... -------------------- |

I have an appt on Friday. So I'll ask then. Its just annoying. Hurt I can deal w/, falling down like an idiot, not so much. My fear is it'll strike in public. It loves to happen at work. I can be walking around fine, happen to shift my weight while standing talking to someone and have to shift it back REALLY quickly before I find the ground...evil I tell you... -------------------- |

I don't know what that could be...I am crippled with groin/hip pain when I get up, but haven't had the legs buckle or anything. I hope you get to the bottom of it soon!
