When Bobby was born I brought a small bag of books & toys for the girls to play with when they visited - maybe something similar for Jenna?

I also brought:
a deck of cards to keep me occupied while the baby was sleeping - DH & I could play something or I could play solitaire.
change for snack/drink machines
a robe for taking walks in the halls
my own pillow cause the hospital ones here are always sooo flat

HOW EXCITING!!!! smile.gif

I always like to take baby nail clippers b/c hospitals here don't have them. Does the hospital not supply all the diapers and stuff? I never take that stuff because they usually give you lots.

I saw you had a BF pillow on your list. Do you plan to BF, or try? If so and you have a pump that you think you might want to use at some point, take that in - the lactation consultant can show you some tips. Some lanolin, breast pads, BF bra maybe?

The only other thing I did was I bought a present ahead of time for Kylie. So when Ryan brought Kylie to see Megan, Kylie got a big sissy gift. She thought that was awesome!

Do you have a baby book on your list? So they can ink the finger and feet prints on there for you?

I am determined to breast feed. I gave up so fast with jenna because of what happened with jordan but I am going t o get all the help i can with this one. And marcus is very pro breastfeeding so i know he will be there for me and help me push on. I am using sport bra in the hospital and once my milk comes in i will go out and buy a nursing bra because i may still go up a size when my milk comes in. I have breast pads so i am goign to pack those and the lanilon. Thats a good idea for jenna:) And the book yes i have one...

Shelly, take all the help you can get (and like you said you will) because that is the key to BF success. And when I say success....ANY AMOUNT OF TIME you BF, whether it be one hour, one day, one month, one year - any amount of effort you give to BF is what counts. That is what is important. PLEASE, come to me if you need support or help, as well. I am here for you. I'm sure there are a lot of people here who would be glad to support and help as well. smile.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

Oooh, what about a pillow? Just your regular sleeping pillow? You might be more comfortable with your own versus theirs.....some people are. I am. happy.gif

Socks for the baby... their feet always seem so cold in the hospital! And I like to bring a couple sleepers besides the going home outfit, because I don't like the little half onesie they put them in. tongue.gif

I brought my own snacks too... just some granola bars and a box of crackers or something like that. smile.gif

I always bring travel size shampoo and conditioner and bar soap- because that first shower afterwards makes me feel so much better!
