Well since my milk supply has apparently "maxed out" (didn't think this was possible, but nothing is working anymore to increase it) Iain is getting more and more formula. But I intend to keep nursing until he wants to stop. He might not be getting much by then but he LOVES it SOOOO much I could never take it away from him unless he was ready to give it up.
So he'll probaby be in kindergarten LOL! Steph -------------------- Steph, mom to Iain born 12/24/02 whose heart was fixed 3-20-03

I'm going to let Sophia decide when we quit. That said, I don't think we'll go past 2 years, though.

Well, had I continued breastfeeding with Zach, I think I would not have gone past 2 years. I'm not that comfortable with it! With this perculating baby though (Baby "Perk") I'm *planning* on breastfeeding at least 1 year. If all goes well and no problems like last time.

We're going on almost 14 months now, and there's no end in sight! So I guess whenever Hannah wants to stop, we'll be done (hopefully it will be before she starts school!).

Well we tried to BF for 6 weeks with Matthew, while supplementing. He would nurse for 1/2 hour each side and still drink 2 oz of formula so we gave up. With Thomas I tried for the first couple of days almost a week and gave up. My milk never came in with either boy, my colostrum (sp??) was there but never had any let down. Has to do with my thyroid, so they tell me now. Kudos to all of you who are bf because I really wanted to and couldn't, still some days while I am giving Thomas his bottle at night I look down at him as he sits where he would have if he were nursing and wish I could turn back the clock and persue it more persistently. Sorry to babble, I kinda got a little sad writing this. Oh well.

So will Anders - rofl - we're going on our fourth year with no signs of letting up any more - three-four times a day - sometimes only for a quick "slurp" but still, at least first in the AM and last at night - and then nap time and sometimes mid morning and/or mid afternoon....... -------------------- Beverly, DH Eje, and mom to PJ, 20 Leah, 18 Sara, 16 Anders, 5
