DH has a really bad toothache. Since he couldn't get into the dentist for another week, I look online for something Herbal that might help him. And I found it!!!

There were a few, but I picked the one with Oregano because I already had some in the house.

You need:
* 4 ounces of the fresh (or 2 ounces of dried) Oregano
* 1 pint [2C] of olive, safflower, or other pure vegetable oil
* A container that will seal tightly to store it in

Combine the Oregano and oil in a small sauce pan. Heat gently, uncovered, for about one hour, stirring occasionally. Strain, bottle and cap tightly when cooled. For a thicker ointment, add 1 to 1-1/2 ounces of beeswax to the mixture as it heats. Let cool and bottle appropriately. Apply with a Q-Tip when needed.

DH has been doing this for the past 2 days and it's been helping him immensely!! On sun., he had to come home early from work as driving around in a 16 000 tons and hitting potholes and bumps was durned near killing his poor mouth. He applied the oil to his tooth 3 times before bed and he barely had any pain at all biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I had to share this biggrin.gif
