I have gained 10 lbs in 3 weeks and I haven't noticed that my pants are getting tight or anything. I have lost more than 60 lbs

sorry my son hit the keyboard and made me post before I was finished typing. I have lost more than 60lbs since october because the dr found that I had a underactive thyroid that had caused me to put on a lot of excess weight. but I can't understand why I have gained so much at one time has this happened to anyone else?

When I was PG with Lorelei I gained 4-6 pounds a week for almost 2 months. UGH. Not really sure why. I was exercising, but I had an appetite like an elephant, so that might be my answer. HA! But then it almost stopped, and for the last month and a half of my preganancy I only gained 10 lbs. A little less than a lb a week.
I really don't know what to tell ya. Has your appetite changed? Have you changed your meds at all? You're nearing the end of the pregnancy, so it might be water weight packing on. I think I'd ask my dr. that next time I go in. Doesn't sound like an emergency right now though. Just keep tabs on it. -------------------- Erika

has your dr checked your thryoid test lately and are you on meds for it now? Just making sure because when you are pregnant you should have it checked every 2 weeks or so if you are on meds, so maybe your dosage needs changed I would mention it next time you are in. It also could be some underlying water weight.
