The theme (and I don't know why) for this years Christmas function at the Embassy is Gypsi.....I need ideas for what I can wear.

I'm going to buy big hoop earrings, and a scarf for my head
I have a belt that has these little coin things on it
I would like a pheasent skirt, but there's none around here so what else can I wear. Choices are very limited here and prices are HIGH.

careful, there are Russian Gypsies and they're known for being quite powerful, Idk if there will be Russians around but Russians who are not gypsies generally don't like or trust them.
I've met some Russian gypsies here and I absolutely love gypsies, I swear I must have been one in a past life. They usually wear bright colors and they make really nice music, you'd need a tambourine or some small instrument.
One guy came to me once when I was reading tarot cards and said he was raised by a gypsy woman who had since passed away. He handed me her tarot cards that were not in English, she was Hungarian, I believe. Anyway, he asked me if I could read his fortune with her cards and instead of reading his fortune, I was able to describe her right down to the lighting in her kitchen and the breed of dog she had. The guy was crying and I got goosebumps. I begged him to sell me her cards but that was all he had left of her. sad.gif sleep.gif
I definitely want to see pics when you are all dressed for the party. happy.gif

The theme, I do believe was brought up by a Russian worker at the Embassy emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif We will all have drivers to the event so we won't be anywhere in public though.

Thanks for the instrument suggestion, I'm sure I can find a toy tamporine at the store. smile.gif

That's a very moving story Jennifer. wub.gif
