The sitter called and asked if I'd seen a spot on Aubrey's butt I told her no I didn't notice it last night in the tub or anything. She said it looks like ringworm. Now I have never even seen ringworm or know nothing about it. I went online and of course they show you the most extreme cases, but the lesser extreme ones where it's literally just a red ring almost look like eczema in a way. Anyone know how I can tell the difference, because the website even said sometimes it can look like eczema patches? Is there something over the counter (safe for babies) that will treat it? I have no clue who she could have came in contact with, especially on her butt unsure.gif this worries me.

Any kind of anti-fungal cream may help. DH had some spots that we believe may have been ringworm and we got him either a jock-itch cream or that gynolotrimin anti-fungal and it's clearing up... slowly but it's going away.

Clotrimazole works great! It is a jock itch cream, but when Avery got ring worm a Dr. friend of ours suggested it and it was gone in a few days.

believe it or not, the best way to treat ringworm is clear nail polish. Don't use the brush because you'll infect it but rub it in with your fingers twice a day and it will disappear fast.
Btw, it's my doc, who is a mom of 3 who gave me this advice when I got ringworm from a lion I photographed so weird as it sounds, it's totally safe.

Thanks guys! I saw it and still cannot tell if it's ringworm or not, she has eczema so it almost looks like an eczema (sp?) patch. Or just irritated skin too, I can't tell.

for eczema, try some evening primrose oil, a few drops in her bottle (or whatever she drinks) everyday and it should be gone within a week or two. Keep her on the EP oil and you'll never see eczema again.

Really ohmy.gif I'll have to try that for sure. I'd do anything to get rid of their eczema.

Jade had it a few times when she was one. We figured that she got it from the dog, but it was a clear ring and the antifungal stuff took care of it.
