Can tampons go bad? I finally got a real AF, I think. So I went through my drawer and found some tampons back from 2005. I only know their date because that was the last time I had AF. They are the OB kind. They look fine, but I don't know...........Do you think its possible? blush.gif blush.gif blush.gif I knew someone who's friend died from that toxic shock thing that they claim tampons can do if kept in too long. Or is that just a myth? unsure.gif

I'm pretty sure cotton can't go bad. You should be fine using them. But leaving a tampon in too long can cause TSS.

You're probably right, about cotton not going bad. Unless of course it is wet in my drawer and it grows mold, which could happen if I lived by the beach, but mine isn't. Super dry here. I'll let you all know if I feel faint or anything. wacko.gif Thanks

I don't know if they have them or not but is there an expiration date on the box? Or maybe call the company and see if it's safe.
