Lauren had her first tooth cut through in the past day or so and today, it's like it's all I feel when she is nursing. It hurts so bad, is there anything I can do???
I'm really about to stop nursing, I've pumped enough milk to likely last till she turns 1 and have it in the deep freeze. But I don't mind nursing b/c it is so convenient. -------------------- |

When Annika's first tooth came in I felt it for a couple of days but then I didn't feel it anymore. Maybe I just got use to it.

it may be just her getting used to it..if it's the bottom that came in then you really shouldn't feel it - when a baby bfs their tongue is over the teeth so you shouldn't feel a thing..the only time i felt their teeth was when we didn't have a good latch to begin with or when they went through the biting phase..

give her something cold to gnaw on right before BF. Don't put a numbing agent on right before because then her latch won't be good. I know when my girls were getting teeth in I could feel those little boogers for a few days because their latch would be off. It's how I knew every time a tooth popped through . Just be patient. One thing I also did, after I got bit the first time (ow!) was chant "do not bite mommy" until I knew she was done getting that tooth through. I think it helped me more mentally than it did her.

Thanks for the tips, I haven't nursed in two days, just pumping and giving her bottles. I think I will try again this afternoon
