This is just the drug companies way of getting these medicines off the shelves and saving their hineys because of the new (or about to be new... can't remember anymore) FDA regulations regarding the use (or rather misuse) of cold and cough medicine in infants and toddlers. Essentially they are "voluntarily" recalling them now so that they don't have to involuntarily recall them in the next few months. I have no doubts that pretty soon the only way parents will be able to get these medicines are by taking their infants to the pediatrician... I don't agree with the regulation, but I do believe that too many parents overmedicate their infants.
