It's not on the Fisher-Price site or the Mattel one---anyone have a link to the recalled toys?

Oh wow! Thank you so much for putting that link on there. Connor has at least three of the Diego products recalled here at our house as well as the Elmo tool bench at his own house and I noticed the little boy I nanny for's bath toy is on there.

Wow... this is going to be a real kicker for them.
Looking back we have at least $70 worth of toys on that list!

Thanks again!!

This may be a stupid question... but if you have a child with these toys and especially I know Caydence and baby E. that I nanny for put things in their mouths all the time, should we be calling their pediatricians?

I know that's what I would want to do as a parent and I know that's what my friend will want to do. Is it necessary or should we do it as a precaution? Or should we at least make the ped. aware of it? sad.gif

I would let your ped know about the recall and find out what they suggest. It may be to bring them in for a once over or maybe they will give you a list of things to keep your eye out for as far as ailments are concerned.

Thanks, I'll tell my friend and the woman I nanny for. My mom is usually the one who takes Caydence to the doctor since she is here during the day but Nichole might want to handle this one herself.

One of our Diego toys (thankfully the Rescue Jeep that he loves the most) was actually purchased before the May 1st date so we're safe there. The others were purchased this summer though, ugh.

I won't be working again until Friday, but I think I'll call my boss's other sitter tomorrow and let her know about the tub toys as well.

Since it's kind of a pain to find, here is the link directly to the toys and the pictures:

Mattel site

We have a couple of the things on the list, but the recall only affects products purchased after 5/1/07 so we are safe.

We have several things on that list but they were bought prior to May 1st...mostly last Christmas...thank goodness! I already had enough of the trains on the recall list from Thomas the Tank Engine.

BTW- most peds (well, mine anyway...) do a lead lvl check about once a year during a checkup...

Ugghh, we have a few of hte Dora things on the list.

All this stuff is really scary. The Thomas trains, all these Fisher Price toys, and also imports of the fish that contained substances that could be harmful, and the toothpaste -- all from China. So, now we don't let Ashley eat any kind of fish because we really don't know where it came from when we order out or buy it at the grocery. I hate this. Makes you wonder what else is bad. Just goes to show you that cheaper isn't always the best deal.

just makes you wonder if they are doing to cause harm to us

Ask the food store where they get their fish from they will tell you and if you have a fresh market ask them also they have to tell you

What REALLY appauled me was walking in to our local Target store this afternoon and seeing nearly every single one of those toys still on the clearance shelf being sold. I wasn't able to find an associate but shouldn't they already know to take them off the shelves???

It was actually a smaller window of toys than I thought. We have the Diego Artic toy but the recalled toys were all sold after May of this year. I can't believe they haven't been pulled form the shelves.

WOW I thought that was A LOT of toys. Far more then should be, although 1 is far more then should be this day in age.
Luckily we don't have any of those listed.

Oh I agree, it is a huge number...I just thought the window of time was going to be longer than 3 months.
