There are so many different models since my children were babies, that I am amazed at all the different kinds.

But, I did come across one that I thought was interesting.

FISHER PRICE NATURE'S TOUCH BABY PAPASAN CRADLE SWING

You can set it to swing side-to-side or back and forth. Do any of you have this? If so, what do you think of it?

I didn't have the papasan but I had the aquarium which also goes both ways, I loved it and think Macie did too ... the side to side worked so much better for her than front to back. The papasan one makes me want my papasan chair back, it looks soooo comfy!

I have the older verison it was not a pappasan but just a regular swing seat. It was called the FP cradle swing. It goes front to back or side to side. I love it. It was nice to be able to change the direction and my babies were sort of small so it was nice to rock them side to side instead of front to back. The only thing is it might take up a little more room then a reg swing. Not sure. I still have mine it is now 7yrs old. I also like I had for ds was the portable swing it folds up which was nice you could take it with you and it took up less room. It worked as a bouncy seat when we were out. My ds loved to sleep in it and we would take it everywhere, I loved both!!

Those side to side swings are wonderful for babies but I have heard that they can cause a problem with dogs, wierd as it sounds there is supposedly something about the side to side movement that can irk a dog......just FYI and I don't remember where I heard it but I do remember it being a reliable source, not just some fluky thing I heard through the grapevine.....

We have an older version (two years ago)...the one with ducks. Wil never liked it much, but I've had other friends rave about it. Wil was more into the vibrating chair (bouncer)! tongue.gif

Thats the same one I have and Em loved it. I like that you can swing both ways.
