I have to clip Ashley's nails at least once a week, sometimes more. They just grow sooo fast! I always wait until she is asleep, but it is getting harder now. She will wake up if I try to clip her nails. I can put her in her crib and she won't wake up, but she wakes up the instant I try to clip her nails.

I usually try once Kaitlin is feeding, she is usually more relaxed then, but I hate doing it sad.gif . I was clipping them just yesterday and she jerked and if got her finger bawling.gif I felt sooooo bad. She is usually pretty good about it. They do grow way to fast! Wish mine could grow that fast!

I just clipped Nicholas' yesterday too. I had my dh distract him with toys. That helped a little but he kept wanting to grab the toys with both hands! rolling_smile.gif

I have to wait until Ashley goes to sleep. I've tried when she is awake and she is just too hyper. I can't clip 'em when she is nursing either because she is too busy pulling on my lip, or pinching my chin, or trying to stick her toes in her mouth while she is nursing, or pulling on her pants....well, you get the idea. The only time she is still is when she is asleep. Actually, that hasn't been true either since she learned to roll. haha.

I try to clip Peyton's nails while he is nursing, too, but usually I wait until after he has eaten and he is relaxing while he digests (Peyton likes to spit up, so we usually hold him for 20 or so minutes after he's eaten); anyway, I try to do it when he is sleeping, but for me that is usually at night when the light isn't soo good. I aks my DH to do it, but he forgets during the day. blink.gif He remembers when Peyton has a new scratch on his face!!! How about those toenails? Peytons grow fast!!!!

I find her toe nails easier to clip. I usually do it while she is on her changing table. rolling_smile.gif

Esp Curtis'.... his toenails are so weird!! They grow curved UP
Ashley's does this too. Or they grow in a point even though I cut them straight across.

Even when Ashley was tiny, she would not wear the mitts. She would flop her hands around until they fell off. If I tried to put them on her now, it would be a joke, she would just pull them off.
