Erin has what looks like tiny pimples on her bottom, groin area (pretty much all where her diaper is covering her) and a bit down her legs and now it seems to be on her right cheek (her face) also. She is not ill otherwise. Any thoughts on what it could be or what to do about it?

Nothing different - I can't believe it is anything serious (and I would not want to be wrong about that!) but I also don't know what to do about it. I told DH she has face & butt disease. He didn't find it too funny . . . -------------------- |

LOL
Could she have possibly been exposed to Chicken Pox? I think they commonly start in the groin area and spread from there I hope that isn't it though . How big are they? This post has been edited by luvmykids on May 10 2008, 06:20 PM |

yeast infections can kind of look that way, and maybe it could have spread from her diaper area to her cheeks? esp if she is drooly and her face is wet a lot of the time.

I don't think they are chicken pox becuase they are really tiny and don't really have pus or anything. I don't know anything about yeast - how can you tell and what do you do about that?

yeast generally starts in the creases, like where her leg is attatched to her pelvis, and spreads... i wondered about a heat rash also...? -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

It doesn't seem to be too heavy in the creases, more on her butt cheeks, across the front and a bit down the legs, and then the face. I am putting the hydrocortisone (sp?) on it very sparingly once a day and we will see if that helps. It does seem a bit better on the bottom today, and that is where I first saw it, so hopefully it is healing.
