yesterday I called my "BFF"'s sister to state I was unable to make my "BFF"'s baby shower ( because I REALLY hate baby showers/bridal parties. I'm not a social butterfly in person, call it Anthropophobia if you want) At any rate somehow before i uttered "I can't come" Her sister begged, and I mean begged me to organize the games. I mean girl was crying she was so overwhelmed. So being the nice person that I am i told her fine..

Already she knixed the diaper poo candy bar thing.

So any ideas??

Take a roll or 2 of toilet paper and have each lady tear off the amount they think will go around the mom-to-be's belly. Whoever guesses the closest wins. That was always fun at my showers. smile.gif
You could also get a tray of items (inexpensive baby stuff is good) and let them all see it for 1-2 minutes, then take it away and have them try to write down everything they remember.
Also, you can give each lady a clothes pin and then choose a magic word (baby, labor, diaper, whatever). Then whenever someone says the magic word in conversation, whoever catches her first gets her clothespin. At the end whoever has the most wins.
Another fun one, have someone secretly write down things the mother says as she opens her gifts - those are the things she said the night the baby conceived -- like, ooh, that's so cute, or that's so tiny!' That's a great game even the older ladies usually laugh at. smile.gif

For my SIL's shower 10 years ago I bought tiny plastic babies (like they use in king cakes...not sure if you could find them there) and froze them inside ice cubes. Whoever has their baby first (the first to completely melt out of their ice in their drink) wins....a cute game without being a "game".

A popular one around here is gift bingo...give everyone a blank bingo card and have them fill in items they think will be received as gifts. Then when the gifts are opened they x them off and whoever gets bingo first wins.

Write the parent's full names at the top of a paper...whoever can make the most words out of the letters in them in 2 minutes wins.

I just thought of one that I thought was fun... at a friend's baby shower her mom had bought a couple packages of baby socks and put the socks unmatched in a container. You pass the container around, and each person has about 30 seconds to match as many socks as they can. The person who matched the most wins, and the mom to be gets the socks. smile.gif You have to make sure the socks you buy have different colors and/or those little patches or bows or some kind of design on them to make them all different so it's a challenge. happy.gif

I like this idea! I'll have to remember that if I'm ever planning a shower for anyone!
