I feel so silly asking this cause this is my third kid, but i never had any of this with my other 2 and ended up being induced for both. All day i have had this really uncomfortabel cramping, like menstrual cramps in my lower abdomen and a back ache in my lower back. I feel liek i need have a bowel movement (sorry TMI) but don't. I did earlier and it wasn't "normal" really soft and very minimal. Again TMI< but i noticed earlier that i had some discharge that I have had previously (wihtboth other kids) but it was late liek 39 weeks into the pregnancy. Sort of liek mucus, but not really. I feel fine. The baby is moving all around so I'm not really worried about lack of movement or anything. But teh cramps and bach ache won't go away. I've tried lying down adn resting (not that i was doing anything real strenuous! ) and the are still lingering around. I wen tto teh Dr on Tuesday and everythign was fine, I had lost some weight and he said the baby had dropped somewhat and he could tell that the head was very low, but not to worry adn that everything shoudl be fine and he'd see me in two weks unless i had a concern and then to call or come in. So is this normal? anyone else havign this. (oh adn the BH are driving me nuts, all night long. they were about 7-10 mintues apart the other night for about 1-2 hours. And then they stopped. Then the y started up every 20-30 minutes for an hour or so and then stopped. Then randomly through the night . and a few during teh day but not strong ones liek at night. I really dont' want to call teh dr or go in or even go to teh hospital, cuase i think it's nothing and evenif it is something , they really can't do much for me other than to tell me to rest and see (according to a nurse i talked to this AM~ not at my r's but an acquaintance) I mena if i was bleedin, had a large amount of discharge or water broke that type thing then yeah I'd go in but It seems do silly to go in for nothing and to have them tell me tha ti'm imagining it or laugh cause it's my 3rd kid and you would have thought i had it figured out by now!
Thanks for listening if you got this far. any advice is appreciated!
Again sorry for the typos.. i'm exhausted!

Well it's possible you are in labor. With Megan I had no clue what i was feeling because I was induced with Kylie. But the night before I had her I was miserable. I had been having REAL contractions on and off for days, no one believing me. That night we had tacos for dinner. An hour later I was naseaous (sp?), back aching, just feeling plain miserable. I thought it was the tacos and so I did everything to just deal with it. I ended up taking a bath hoping that would help the cramping. I felt worse in the bath tub, I felt like I was crawling out of my skin...not big time, just on edge. I then walked around outside pacing back and forth wishing whatever I ate would just leave me alone. happy.gif then I went to bed, couldn't sleep, got back in the tub, couldn't stand it, went back to bed, couldn't sleep so i decided at around 1 am or so that I was just going to go to the hospital to see if they would give me something for the nausea. I didn't even think twice about the cramping and aching I was having because I'd been feeling it off and on for weeks. I drove myself in and turned out I was in labor.

If you are feeling 'edgy', I really think that's a sign that you could be dilating, that was what was happening to me. I was barely dialated when I went to my regular OB appt. Went in to the hospital and I was dilating fast (although the epi slowed it all down later on rolleyes.gif ).

I'd go in, what's the worse that could happen? hug.gif

It sounds a lot like early labor to me. I felt the exact same things you described at the end of my PG. You should take it very easy, and I would at the very least call your doctor. If it is early labor, they can probably do something to slow down/stop the labor. And, (in my Motherly voice) if they put you on bedrest, then stay in bed. hug.gif It never hurts to call your doctor, that's what they are there for. It doesn't matter how many kids you've had, I heard that no PG or labor is the same. Besides, I am sure they are used to these types of calls.

Please keep us posted. hug.gif

hug.gif Like Dee Dee said, they're not all the same so there is no shame in feeling "unfamiliar" things. Sounds like what I felt when I went into labor too, I think you should at least make a call. hug.gif KUP!

i ended up calling last night about 10:30 or so. HE said that I could go out and get checked or I could wait until morning if I was comfortable with that. (he was thinking that it might have been from a long day and I really just needed to rest. BUT said tha tif I couldn't sleep then to definately come out. I layed down and rested and fell asleep. Woke up a few times to pee and for a few contractions, but the pain was mostly gone. (Still in my lower abdomin but not as much in my back. He just called this morning to check on me and said that he will call at Noon time and see how I am. IF i am still having issues then he wants me to come in. And get checked out. He just doesn't want me to go in too early and have them check me if it's not necessary and would rather them just monitor me to see how the baby is and how the contractons are.
I haven't had any contractions since about 4 am so that's good. AND the cramping is not as bad, but still there. but the bach pain is mostly gone now. So I'm hoping it was jsut a long day and I neede to take it easy. I'll keep ya posted smile.gif IF the pain comes back or i start having contractions again.. then I'll definately go out.
I'm just irritable and grumpy today so i'm not gonna be much fun ot be around.. poor kids!

Yes, if you had a really long busy day it could have been that for sure. I'd definitely try to keep your feet up as much as possible wink.gif. hug.gif hug.gif

Oh Gosh Carrie!! ohmy.gif Take it easy sweetie! Sounds like a lot of what I was experiencing off and on through my PG. Definately don't ever feel silly going into L&D to get checked. They're used to it, and it's always better to be safe than sorry. hug.gif Just rest up today and make your DH and kids do everything for you. wink.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

Thanks everyone. DH is actually out of town until late tonight. dry.gif
But After resting all day yesterday (well most of it) and las tnight, Iam feelign better. Still crampy and have teh backache, but not anythign like before. So i'm Just goingo t keep taking it easy... and if it starts to come back again I'll go in. I still have that mucusy kind of discharge (again sorry TMI) but it's not blood or anything. And it's minimal.. so probably just parts of my mucus plug thing breaking off..... according to teh Nurse at teh Dr's office. So I'll keep you posted if anythign changes. (Probably will be MIA most of teh weekend as we have a b-day party and stuff to do)
