Ok....so after 4 months of nothing Aunt flow graced me with her visit right before all our stuff arrived on the 8th. And I noticed that I all of a sudden was LOW LOW LOW on milk? Is that common? I started having to take my Blessed Thistle and eat oatmeal every day, and finally today I have enough milk that Lexi isn't screaming at me for more.
This whole time since her birth I've been engorged at least once a day for the last four months, and then all of a sudden I'm trying my hardest to get the milk to produce. It's so strange. Has anyone else had this happen? It wouldn't have been that big a deal if all of my built up supply hadn't been ruined in the move , so when I went on this dip in supply I was really really upset b/c I had no back up other than formula. Not that that's a problem, and that's what she got and she's fine, but Gosh darn it!! It's just frustrating. -------------------- Erika

Yep, common. Take a calcium/magnesium combo supplement daily during ovulation and AF and I also combo that with a daily dose of Evening Primrose Oil. It helps.

I haven't had AF back yet, but whenever I have a dip in my supply, I drink a cup or two of "Mother's Milk" tea and it helps (buy it at a health food store). Also, a beer once in awhile helps me too for some reason!
Hope things have gotten better for ya Erika! -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01
