I finally picked up some BC for my PCOS. My last cycle was seriously 42 days long, so I figured it was time to do something to regulate my periods. So I asked my doc for Yaz, since I heard the side effects are mild and it is known to help clear up acne. It's the one good for women with PMDD. Anyone else take it or used to take it? Any comments? I'm only on day 3. I get a little nauseous throughout the day and a slight headache, but no breast tenderness yet (if it makes them grow, then I would be happy!). I feel a little bloated, which worries me because BC typically makes me gain weight, but I'm still the same on the scale. Could just be the tofu and broccoli I ate yesterday!

Wish me luck! I really hate BC but I had to do something. Doc said that Yaz is effective immediately, so of course DH had to try it out the other night.... laugh.gif At least someone is happy!

I took Yaz after having Avery and I actually thought it was great. AF only lasted 3 days and was very light and I never broke out like I did with other BC's.
Best of luck to ya!!

Oh good to hear!! Well today I feel really fatigued. Like I seriously just want to crawl in bed and fall asleep in seconds. I also have a bit of diarrhea. Sorry TMI. I'm hoping my body will start to get used to the pills and even out in a few weeks.

I felt the same way at first...always tired, but after about 2 weeks or so I was feeling like my old self again and with lighter and shorter periods. thumb.gif

Uhhh, I'm so nauseous all the time. I had some serious anxiety yesterday. I read this can happen to some people taking Yaz. Yeah. I've suffered with anxiety in the past and I finally feel like I have it under control without the use of drugs...and wahla, it's back. I'm giving it a chance though, because I really need something to help with the PCOS. My skin does look better too! But feeling this way isn't really worth the clear skin IMO. I'll get through this first pack and then we'll see if things taper off some. wacko.gif
