Hello everyone!! I haven't been a member here long, but I just had to share my good news with you. I went to the OB yesterday and he said my C-section would be scheduled for March 14th. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif This will be our first child and we are expecting a son named Dylan Zachary. If anything changes I will let you all know.

May I ask why you are doing a scheduled c-section for your first child? Just wondering not trying to be nosy!

I am so happy for you that you got a date scheduled. Are you getting nervous yet, know that you know the date?

I remember you telling me that you had some health problems, that was why you were getting a C section done, right?

How are you feeling now? How did your last OB appt go?

Trust me, March will be here sooner than you know it! wink.gif horray.gif

I don't mind you asking me at all about why I am having a scheduled C-section for our first baby. I have several health conditions which have made my pregnancy a fairly high-risk one and our son seems to also be in a breech position which is why we and our Dr. have decided to have a scheduled C-section vs. me going into labor and risking my health and our baby's health.

Yes, I think we are both getting a little nervous now that we have a date set, but I think we are just more anxious to see our son and hold him in our arms for the first time. You are right about my health problems. As a matter of fact my OB told me that if I continue to have the problems I am having and begin to show signs of going into labor that he might even move our C-section up a week. It all just depends on how well I take care of myself over these next couple of weeks I guess.

I am feeling ok I guess except for some terrible pain I am having in my lower abdomen. My OB says it is mostly due to the baby trying to change positions and of course he hasn't been able to come out of being breech yet. The baby may not have enough room to be able to change. I am all belly though as you can see from the picture I posted on here and I just don't think I can stretch anymore. I guess we will find out in 2 weeks when I go back for my next exam.

March does seem to be approaching us quickly so very soon I will be able to post pictures of our little angel on here. I can't wait!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

when was your due date? I was wondering, to see how far ahead they plan a c-section. I have to have a c-section also.

They first said my due date was March 27th then they changed it to March 21st. My OB said he likes to do the C-section a week before the actual due date so that is why for the time being I am scheduled for March 14th. Some doctors even do a c-section 2 weeks early. I guess it just depends on what you and your Dr. decide. Good Luck with your C-section. thumb.gif

Congratulations and good luck!

Do you mind if I give you a recovery tip? I've had 2 csections and this helped me sooooo much. Take a small pillow with you (it will become your best friend for a couple of weeks). Anytime that you have to move or cough, press the pillow against your incision (sp?). The pain will be 100x better.
