My daughter is 4'7 and weights around 83 lbs. It seems really big to me. She's always been on the tall side but I just want to make sure she's not getting to big.

Ashley isn't 9 (almost 8 though), but she was also 4'7" the last time I took her to the doc, and weighed 60 lbs. I thought Ashley had grown some since then, but maybe not because they're very close in height. I think Kayleigh is beautiful and perfect.

At 7 years Kylie was 61 pounds and 51.5 inches tall. Kylie is almost 8 and the last time she was at the doc she was 56 inches and 63 pounds. I know she's taller than that now because I think it was back in January when she was not quite at my boobs and now she's tall enough she's almost at my shoulders. I'm 5'5". She's going to surpass me soon. I thought she was too big but the doc said she was perfect for height/weight ratio.

I'm not sure how much my almost-9-year-old weighs, but we just measured her the other day and she is 4'1. But all our kids are on the smaller side and tend to be on the low end of the growth charts.

My newly turned 10 yr old is 4'10" and 91lbs. Ped. said that's 85 percentile for height and 90 for weight. For a boy.

If she is growing too big there is nothing you can do to stop it. That is pretty tall for a nine year old, it is in the 95 percentile high for nine year old's which means she is taller than 95 percent of nine year olds. But it is nothing to cause concern either. Everyone has a growth sprout, and is is probably hers. As long as she eats healthy gets enough rest there should be no problem

it is true that girls grow faster. she's tall for her age but then you said she's always been on the taller side. just keep checking her weight though.
