Hello All,

I'm sorry I"ve been absent...the summer is a blur and being home alone since hubby went back to teaching in Sept has been hard. I'm struggling right now w/out a car and feeling very isolated.

And we're expecting again! This was planned...but I am starting to freak about thinking about life (on crutches) w/ a toddler and infant.

Evan is fussing...he's in his stroller as I write this. So I'll write more later.

Amy

And yes, about the same due date. ;-)

Thank you. Yes, late June...June 30th actually. Now this would be PERFECT because hubby will be done teaching. I'm really nervous about taking care of an infant and toddler, but having those 2 months of help and planning will be great. However, I got preeclampsia w/ baby #1, and delivered via c-section a month and a half early. I would really appreciate prayers that THAT not happen again.

We were really lucky....it was scary, but Evan did just great. But I also realize that a different baby born at the same number of weeks might not have as good a time of it. So I'm nervous.

But this was "planned"....can you believe I believed that old wives tale about nursing making it harder to conceive?? I think I'm proof-positive that's an old wives' tale! LOL! But if we'd waited, and I'd say gone into early menapause or something...we would have been bummed. ANd the kids will be close in age which will be nice.

I'm going to try to be here as regularly as possible. I miss it here, and I realize that leaving the boards I was on (this one and a couple cross-stitch ones) did me no help in terms of my feeling isolated. I'm grateful you're all here.

Thank you. It really does mean a lot to me. I'm nervous about delivering early again...just because Evan did ok, doesn't mean another baby would do as well. The doc seems pretty sure if I DO get preeclampsia again, it would most likely be severe again (for me), because second time around its usually of the same severity. But he also said it typically doesn't happy EARLIER than the first time, which would be best case scenerio I guess. But I'd rather have a full term baby...duh. ;-)

I was starting to get really weary of being pregnant...being on crutches and all...so of course I felt guilty when it happened. On the one hand, I wish the doc could just tell me "do this and this and don't do this and this and you won't get it"....but on the other hand, at the TIME it was a blessing to know they don't know what causes it, so I couldn't feel AS guilty. ;-)
