Hello, I am new here. I am 25yrs old 36.5 weeks weeks pregnant. I am soooo huge. My appt last Wed, Doctor told me I was dialated 2cm and the baby weighs atleast 7lbs! But from what I have been reading throughout the internet....That means absolutly NOTHING! I can't wait any longer. I am soo uncomfortable. My first son weighed 8lbls 3 1/2 oz and came at 37.5 weeks. Can I be that lucky this time? Does anyone know how soon I could be? I haven't had a baby in 7yrs. My son didn't dialate until well into labor....my water broke. Does anyone know what the chance of my water breaking again is? I know , I know "each pregnancy is different" mad.gif LOL

They are generally close when guessing the baby's weight but I have seen doctors be off by 1-3 lbs. As for the 2 centimeters dialated that means your body is getting prepared. But don't get upset if next time you are only 1. At the beginning sometimes your body will flucuate with the dilation thing. But it can also mean you are going to go early. Anytime after 36 weeks is considered safe for the baby. If you went early with your son it is posible that you will go early again. But each pregnancy varies as far as the water breaking. But the labor pains will make you aware when it is time. So just relax and soon your little angel will be here. The last weeks are always the hardest. grouphug.gif

wavey.gif and WELCOME. If your that uncomfortable and the dr thinks the baby is 7lbs already ask to be induced!! My dr did it with both my dd's cause there was no way I could have a 8 or 9 lb baby naturally. Im being induced with this one too!

Hope your lil one comes soon!
