Ashley was on one of the educational game websites that I let her visit, and she clicked on a banner for beginner keyboarding. Anyways, she was teaching herself to type. She was doing pretty good too as she can already use the home keys quickly and without looking. The problem is that the banner is no longer on the website and that is how she was getting to the keyboarding site. I did a search and can't find the keyboarding site she was using as it was geared towards kids. It's not in my history or cache as I had to clear that for an issue I was having with another site. So, has anyone seen this site or do your kids use a beginner keyboarding site? I was hoping to find the same one as she was through several of the lessons already.

It was similar to the non-flash version of that site but I think it gave a little more instruction... in addition to what keys to use, it went into detail about posture, hand position, where to rest your thumb, what fingers to use, etc. Each lesson had a speed goal you had achieve before moving on to the next lesson. She was already on lesson 10 or 11, but if I don't find that site again, I might just show her this one. Thanks.

Here is my school's computer webpage:

Computers

The second row has a few different typing lessons, which may have something useful.

Good Luck.

Olivia got a program at the Library called Typing Instructor for Kids. When we downloaded it it stayed on our computer so it was as good as buying it! She's WAY WAY better than I am~never looks at the keyboard and is fast. I thought about using it myself. tongue.gif Not only does she like to play with it but her friends do too!
