I think Alex has conjunctivitis.
He got up this morning and had a bunch of crusties on his eye lashes. And just now he has some yellowish gunk in his eye.
I did a google search and I believe that's what it is.
His Dr's office is on lunch till 1:00 and the answering service said to call back then...so that's what I'm gonna do!
Hopefully they can just call in a perscription and we wont have to make a visit to the Dr. I remember them doing that for me when I had it as a teenager.
We shall see!

Thanks Nadia!
I'll be calling the dr's office soon...
I told Alex his eye has a boo boo so he cant touch it, and if he does to make sure he tells me so we can wash his hands.
He keeps telling me its itchy and this gunk keeps coming back too.

Oh, poor thing. I just had a that problem with my 5 month old after starting daycare. She started getting a series of colds and the PEDI said that it can come from the child rubbing their nose and then there eyes causing the cold to spread into the eye. There are different treatments for different kinds. ie, viral, bacterial.
I found that gently wiping away the gunk with moistened, sterile cotton balls really helped to keep her from rubbing them as much. The PEDI said it would help with the itching. Good luck.
