Ok, I am a little premature on this, but Ashley turning 7 months made me think about this. What have you done for the 1st Birthday party? A private celebration or a big shin-dig? IF a big shin-dig, what type activities are appropriate for this age?

For both Andrew and Christian, we just had a few close friends and some family members over. Nothing big. I baked 2 cakes each time. One for the birthday boy to destroy and one for every one else. Lots of photo opportunities...b-day cake smeared all over the b-day kid, opening presents for the 1st time, etc. Lots of fun rolling_smile.gif

I never would have thought of that! Thanks. In a way, I can't wait, but then again, I don't want her growing up any faster than she already is!

I can totally relate! Like I can't wait until Nicholas has more teeth and starts eating the things we eat, but then again, I wish he would stay a baby a little while longer. He is growing up way too fast! That newborn stage just flew right by bawling.gif

All of mine had their own cake. Teigen's was decorated like the big one, only a smaller version. Just family and a few friends came to ours. Had a great time.. his bday is June, so we did a cookout and just hung out in the backyard the whole time.

Pretty much the same here. We just had family and a few close friends over, and had some cake.

Robbie had a clown icecream cake, him and his little friend had it alllll over.
