My daycare provider called me on Friday and stated that my kids have been exposed to Scarlett Fever. I didn't even know kids got Scarlet Fever anymore. From what I have read it appears to be like strep throat. Thank goodness I was on vacation most of the week so my kids were only exposed 1 day.

Scarlet Fever is a strep infection.

I know it sounds scary, but things like scarlett fever are normal in childhood, and its going to be rotten for a while if they do get it. Overall though, getting stuff like this NOW will hwlp them develop a great immune system down the road and they will be healthy happy adults! Scarlett fever is another one of those like chicken pox, mumps, measles...ect... that pose little problem in childhood, but are much worse as adults
