This baby, I tell you what! For the past 3 weeks she's stopped moving around like she used to. I know they tend to start not having as much room to move around but with 10 (well now it's 7) weeks left to go I didn't figure she should not be moving like that. Anyways today I hadn't felt her for almost 4 hours (no movement at all) and so I decided to call the nurse even though I just spoke to her yesterday about my incision. So of course she told me to drink something like Coke....duh! shouldn't I already know that. Where is my brain? So within 20 minutes she's bouncing around like she's on a disco floor. She's gone 6 or 7 hours in a day without movement lately. Weird!
So now I have to call the nurse back and say....sorry, I know it's my second time and all....I'm a dork! Isn't it weird that she's not moving around very much with this many weeks left to go? Or did my pg brain take over and I'm not remembering anything from the first one? This post has been edited by boogabearzmom on Feb 23 2005, 01:43 PM -------------------- ~*Karen*~

Not to worry Karen, I totally forgot tons of stuff I should have remembered when I was pg with Thomas from when I had Matthew. That is what nurses and our friends are for. Hang in there not much longer and she will be here causing you grief.

Hey don't feel bad at all. I've had four now and I'd still probably have to look things up now and then if I had another. I think when we block out the memory of the pain we block out some of the other info with it.

At least you didn't do like I did and go in for an U/S. I called when I was about 36 weeks because I hadn't felt Ashley move all day. I drank OJ, ate a cookie, and laid on my left side...still nothing. So, the nurse told me to come in to get checked out.... as soon as I lay on the table for an U/S, Ashley started kicking and moving and jumping all over the place. I was a little embarrassed, but mostly relieved that everything checked out ok. (I ended up getting a free 4-D U/S out of it too )
I am glad she started kicking for you too... I bet she was just taking a break. All that growing is hard work! Hang in there, I can't believe you only have about 7 weeks left to go! -------------------- |

awww yeah that must have been scary!!! DO you do a kick count? I didn't know about that until I was about as far along as you it kinda scared me though because I counted like five the morning and then didn't feel much of anything until later that day. Anyway I think thats normal at the stage

You're so cute! I think everyone here has done that! It is so easy to get spooked once we start thinking "Hmmmm....when was the last time I felt her move??" It doesn't get any easier the more you have, I'm sure (like the others have said) Glad she started kicking you! Sorry she almost caused you to have a breakdown!

Oh no Dee, I actually did have that same thing happen with Kylie. I was like 37 weeks and hadn't felt her move for over 24 hours, did all the stuff your supposed to do and she still wouldn't move so I went in for a non-stress test. As soon as they hooked the monitor up to me she started kicking away. I'll just never learn. -------------------- ~*Karen*~

I had to go in for a NST becuase I couldn't feel her moving. Turns out she was moving, but because of the tilt of my uterus, I wasn't really feeling it. Weird, huh?
