Hello, everyone! I hope you are enjoying the New Year and that things are getting off to a good start for all of you.
My husband and I will celebrate our first wedding anniversary in March, but have been together for 3 1/2 years. Like many women, my biological clock has been ticking for quite a while, so I've been ready. Well, the "baby bug" finally bit my husband and we finally made our plan to start trying to conceive this summer! We are both extremely excited!!! We're trying to approach this adventure with great amounts of love (of course), but also lots of knowledge...so any advice that you can share would be appreciated. Any books or other recommended reading? Any preparation - other than meeting with my doctor and starting prenatal vitamins? Let me know! Thanks in advance for all your help! babywish2010 |

Now is a good time to start taking extra Folic Acid as well as prenatals.
As for advice, have fun and don't stress it. Get in tune with your body and start tracking your cycles. Good Luck TTC, and welcome to PC -------------------- |

Thanks! We're keeping it a secret from friends and family to help avoid extra stress and (loving) nagging.

This would be a good time to alter your diet to stop the caffeine and smoking of you smoke . start your prenatals, and you can start taking your temps and charting so you can see when you ovulate.

Thanks! I actually cut caffeine out about 7-8 months ago and I've never smoked so those 2 are done...whew! I'm working on eating healthier because I've always been very picky!! I started my prenatals last week. Is there a resource that can help me accurately chart? I thought I saw that on someone's post, but I've read SOOO many I have no clue where I saw it!
Thanks! |

Are your cycles regular?? You can get a TTC ticker, that's how I kept track of when I ovulated, worked for us.... www.lilypie.com is one, there's lots though, just look at the siggy's for more sites. -------------------- |
