Did you guys notice a difference when your babies "dropped"? I never noticed with The Boy, but I carried so low with him anyway.
I heard that it can get easier to breath, and maybe less heartburn? I think I may have dropped this weekend, but I don't really feel any different, I just think my belly is a little lower. |

Yeah, I remember when I dropped...it was maybe around 37 weeks or so with Wil. I do remember it was easier to breath. Plus, Wil had his foot in my ribs for almost my whole third tri, so it was nice when that stopped.
Sounds like you may be on your way here soon! Although I guess you still have some time to go...stay in there little girl! -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01

I totally did, except for when I laid down. I think I was around 37 weeks maybe 36?? But I noticed some contractions (BH but steady) and then after an hour or so they stopped, and I felt.....heavier I guess on my hip region. And when I was standing the top of my belly was soft instead of hard like it had been and I could breath a little better. Although my walking got a little weebly-woobly. But laying down at night still sucked. Those last 3-4 weeks were still horrible for me to breath and move.
If baby has dropped already, that means she's almost done cookin'!! How exciting!! -------------------- Erika

not to burst anyone's bubble but that's not true in all cases . like me, i dropped early in my 8th month with Jade and everyone said i would go early. went thru the 8th month, then the 9th month, then induced 11 days past my EDD -------------------- mama to Jacob, James, Jade, Kaleigh and Riley!!

Yeah, I'm not actually looking foward to her being dne "cookin" yet. I am actually still at the point where I am enjoying things, and not so big that I am uncomfortable and not able to function. I'm betting on Memorial day. I will be 37 and 1/2 weeks by then, and I work the weekend nights before so i am sure to be super exhausted. I can't imagin a better time to deliver! Thats what the boy did to me too!

That same thing happened to me. Everyone thought I dropped around 7 months, just because I was carrying him so low. Everytime I went to my OB appt, I asked if I dropped, and he said no...over & over again. I never did drop, I just carry really low I guess. He was so low, a friend of mine bought me a belly/back support cause she said it looked painful. (and the thing didn't even fit around my belly, and it was an X-Large) I ended up being induced a week after my due date. Everyone had bets that I would go early, but they were all wrong. -------------------- ~Ann~ Wife to Justin, Mommy to Cam

I never did drop with the twins but with Macie I did. I don't remember when but I had issues with walking and kind of felt pressure below, not like needing to push pressure, just like I suddenly had a bowling ball in my belly that was looking for a way out!

I thought I dropped with Kathryn, but the breathing didn't get any easier...
I was told by many that you won't realize you dropped with your second. -------------------- |

Yeah I remember. I was approx 30 weeks and breathing/bladder/pressure all became so much easier. My body was telling me she dropped even though every one else said it was way too early. But then I went into labor 2 weeks later so it wasn't such a good thing. For me, the heartburn NEVER went away, only got worse.
