I've never done it for other reasons. I have a hard time understanding how one could lose weight from riding a bike leisurely, but my sister said she's going to do it to lose weight. Hopefully someone who has done it might know. thumb.gif

I don't know that I've lost weight from biking, but I would imagine if you did it enough that it would make some kind of a difference. happy.gif We have a trailer for our bike and I put Brianna and Lissie in it and the girls ride their own bikes and off we go! We love bike rides! thumb.gif

I have.. I rode a bike alot last summer..and believe me kids do it. They make it look easy and it's not. Now we go to bike trails where it's up and down. You have to change gears and use muscles to peddle up something. It is a work out and great exercise..when you need something different.

DH and I biked a lot last summer. It's excercise, and any form of excercise is better than none. Ashley loved it, so we rode quite a bit. I definitely felt a difference when we were biking. My problem is I didn't keep up any form of excercise during the winter.

We've found it hard to fit it in our schedules this year. Ashley will be going to swimming lessons 4 days a week at the Y, so it's easier just to work out there.
