Should PC have a news forum to separate out some of the depressing stuff that gets posted from the General Discussions forum? I think a news forum would also help tie together the membership as local news items pertaining to parenting and families could also be posted there.
Note: This idea was originally Rocky's and posted in the General Discussions forum. -------------------- Ed is husband to Lisa (since 1983) Dad to Ricky, John, Erin and Kaitlin The Administrators of the Parenting Club take trolls and violators of the Terms of Service Agreement seriously. I think it's a good idea, Humor, Games & Entertainment isn't a very fitting place for some of the news and it would be nice to have a place you can avoid if you don't want to see those links.

Sounds like a good idea to me! I was thinking the same thing as Monica - Humor Games and Entertainment is definitely not fitting for some of the depressing news posts and it would be nice to be able to keep them out of the GD board.

I love the idea, as with Monica, I don't think Humor and Games is a fitting place. It would be nice to have an area to house all of the depressing and not so depressing news going on around the world

I love the idea. Actually Di, I have a section under my favourites for unique, funny, or happy news. So yes, they do exist. -------------------- |

Di, we actually have newspaper (free weekly) here that prints only upbeat, positive stories. It's called "The Bright Side." Here's their url. -------------------- Ed is husband to Lisa (since 1983) Dad to Ricky, John, Erin and Kaitlin The Administrators of the Parenting Club take trolls and violators of the Terms of Service Agreement seriously. Sorry for taking a long time to respond here. Sounds like a good idea to me. I might even showcase it on the home page if it gets alot of use.
The forum will be added shortly. |

I'm new, however I do have a new forum suggestion/request...
Maybe there could be a "Your photos and videos" section? And to reduce lots and lots of posts, everyone could have there own one thread to post their photos/videos etc, and one thread only. *Shrugs* Just a thought. I've been sharing a few pictures of my kids and the sort in my introduction thread because I wasn't sure where else to post them, and I reeeeally didn't want to make a whole new thread somewhere with just 3 photos entitled "These are my kids" and then another one; "This is me and my fiancé", or something... lol, so I got the idea. |
