We should find out Monday whether it's a girl or boy, but we're a little stuck on a middle name for the boy.
The first name will be Waylon, and DH likes Shelton for a middle name. I am not really fond of that name, but I don't know if it's bc the only Shelton I've ever known was a dorky, pasty boy that was a worthless druggy.
Is it really a bad name, or should I let it go?
I've also thought about an "A" name, since Will's middle name is Aaron. I thought it'd be cool if they both had WA for initials. The only names I can think of that I really like are Aiden and Andrew. Not sure how DH feels about either or them.

Any opinions?? Thanks!

I agree about Shelton...I think I don't like it because they both end in "on". I like the name Adam but then you have the same problem, similar endings. I think Andrew goes well too.

I don't think Shelton on it's own is a bad name but it just doesn't work with Waylon for me. I think Andrew is a better choice.

Yeah, I don't think it sounds that great either. I told DH he could decide on the boy's name, so I'm just hoping he decides he likes something else better. tongue.gif
I really like the name James, too. Sounds very tough-guy, old western to me.
Who knows! I'll make sure I post when we find out what it is, though. If it's a girl then we'll not have to worry about it anyway. laugh.gif

I'm not fond of Shelton, either, it makes me think of ponies, lol. I guess it's good DH didn't want the name Jennings [he sang the theme song for television show The Dukes of Hazzard] emlaugh.gif . His middle name is Arnold, lol.

Waylon James sounds nice happy.gif

I also don't mind Shelton on it's own..but I don't think it goes well with Waylon...I don't know I get an image of a good ole country boy when I say it..lol.. I would go with something strong for the middle name...I am a huge fan of non-traditional names(my tanner & braedon) but I think it's important to pair it with a strong traditional name too. Like my daughter's middle name is MiaBella which is anything but conservative..but I gave her Alexandra as a 1st name, so it gives the name balance between strength and trendy!

I like the idea of WA initials.
What about Alexander I think that would sound good with Waylon.

I agree the name with shelton as a middle name doesnt flow as nice, but honestly if your dh really wanted it, not many people go by their middle names anyway..

I like the idea of having WA for initials for your boys...

we used andrew weston, for our last one, we liked that western sound..but weston was a family name.

you didnt mention what your girl names are if it turns out to be a girl....

waylon avery
waylon anthony

or what is wills middle name?
can they have the same middle name?

I like Arthur, Alexander, Andrew. I think going with the WA combo to match his brother is great.

ETA: I don't like Shelton either. I knew on one time and he was a dud.

I'm hoping DH will change his mind about Shelton, but he tends to like what he likes, regardless.
Will's middle name is Aaron.
I really like Andrew and James - But I hope DH will decide he just likes something other than Shelton. But, if he really wants it, I'll probably let it go. This will prob be our last kid, so, you know....

If we have a girl her name will be Emilee Elizabeth (maybe with Grace as a middle name, too, after both of our moms). It will be spelled Emilee bc my middle name is Lee and it's about the closest thing I want to having a child named after me. tongue.gif

I don't care for Shelton as the middle name with Waylon either, but I've known people for years and have no idea what their middle name is. I think it's more important that you all agree on the first name, unless you really want the W.A. initials.

That's a good point. How often do we say our middle name, so who cares if it flows or not. I say if you picked Waylon, let your DH have Shelton.

On the other hand, since I have a Wil and a Wesley, both W names too...good choice btw! I will chime in with the middle name Adam. Wesley's middle name is Adam. wub.gif Wil's real name is Richard William.

Waylon James sounds nice!

Girls names you picked are pretty!

I don't care for Shelton either. I also have a cousin named Aaron who is a demon, so I don't have fond memories of that name. laugh.gif The name itself though is nice. If it weren't for my demon of a cousin, then I'd like the name more. laugh.gif I'm on your side. Shelton sounds pretty, well...lame. blush.gif

I like James. That is Tanner's and Troy's middle name as well. biggrin.gif

I'm with everyone else about Shelton- really doesn't flow with Waylon. I'd go with a one syllable middle name. James is a good choice.

In case you haven't seen the other post, it is a boy and we've decided to go with Waylon Lebron.

Just kidding!!!! His middle name will be James. I think it flows well, and kind of has a tough, country boy sound to it, I think.

Thanks for the help! thumb.gif

Good choice! thumb.gif I love the name James!
Peyton was SO close to being Peyton James--but I didn't want people to call him PJ.
