Andrea is DEATHLY allergic to Sudafed (And all the derivities in it) so we have to find something she can have for horrible colds that don't include those.

How about some of the dimetaps or robitussins. I would get a good pharmacist and talk to him/her.

tish my ped always tells us to not use the otc cold meds with kids it makes them to wired, but we wanted to treat the syptoms too, so he said to use benadryl and tylenol, and use a cool mist humidifier for about 2 days to avoid mold growth from the dampness.

there is also an vapor soap we use that johnson and johnson makes for the tub, it seems to help hug.gif

It's funny you mention them making kids wired.

Benadryl and other medicines that are supposed to calm a person down have the reverse affect on her. wacko.gif

But I think I am just going to cross my fingers and pray she doesn't get sick. She can't even take Rx cold medicines because of this allergy (It causes Grand Mal type seizures)

Have you heard of Melaleuca's children's cold medicine? That's what I give my son.

I'd call the ped to recommend one just in case
