Their CVS brand diapers are on sale for $6.99, normally $8.99 for the large pack. I tried them the last time CVS had them on sale and I actually liked their brand better than Pampers or Huggies. There is no limit, so I stocked up!

Not to get off subject but......
The card thingy is just a big scam so they can monitor your purchases. I think there should be a law against it. -------------------- |

Yes, it is with the card, but if you don't want to sign up then they have a "dummy" card they can scan for you. It's worth it... if you stock up and buy 10 packs, then you save $20. Plus they are cheaper than normal diapers anyways, and better IMHO.
I used my card because they also give back 2% of your purchases every 1/2 year and that's how they track how much you have spent. If you buy baby stuff there, they also send you special coupons for baby stuff. But, you are right Ashade75, it is all to track what you buy. DH doesn't care too much for them tracking that stuff either. But, I guess I really don't care if they know how much toilet paper and diapers I buy. LOL -------------------- |

Not to be off subject, either, but if you think they need one of those cards to track what you buy and how much you spend, you are sadly mistaken.
About a year ago, my DH and I made a rather large purchase at our local Sam's Club Warehouse in the neighboring state of Missouri. We paid by personal check. The next day, we also bought quite a few things at our local Wal-Mart (in the same town), which we also paid for by check. The clerk made a mistake, and forgot to ring up one of our items after we had already wrote the check, so I attempted to write a check for the third purchase of the weekend. (For those of you who don't know, Sam's Club and Wal-Mart are very much affiliated) Guess what??? The system wouldn't let me write the third check without management approval. When I asked why that was, I was informed by mgmt that since I had wrote two checks for such large amounts, and attemped to write a third check (for even a small amount) I triggered the system "red flags"...... And if you don't think they knew what I had bought each time?? I bet they knew down to what size of diapers I bought and how many gals of milk, too.... So, if you think you are protecting yourself by not using a discount card, think again. If they "scan" your check when you buy (a lot more places are doing this now) then chances are they know who, what, when, why and how you buy a lot of things. The only way to avoid this would be to pay in cash. -------------------- Beverly, DH Eje, and mom to PJ, 20 Leah, 18 Sara, 16 Anders, 5

Yep, I think the cards are mainly to also track the people who pay by cash. Although I like my privacy, I guess I really do not care if they want to know when we buy our diapers We get alot of junk mail already so I guess it really doesn't matter anymore. |
