Hi ladies I hope someone can help me out here. I have searched the internet over and over and am failing to find the answer I need.

I am currently on birth control (the patch) and I suspect I may be pregnant. This is my 3rd week and my off week will start Tuesday.

My question is this.....should I take off the patch?

Symptoms that *I* only feel/have when pregnant.

Is it possible that birth control can affect the levels of progesterone?

hug.gif I would make an apt. with your doctor and find out for sure if you are pregnant. Leave the patch on, unless your doctor advises you otherwise. Also it is possible to get pregnant on the birth control that's how I got my first 2 surprises! biggrin.gif

I have a good friend that got prego on the patch. She also had a friend that got prego on it as well. Just a note, but she is pretty health and had to go on medication to regulate her heartbeat b/c of the patch. (obviously she's not on it anymore).

KUP!!

How far along do you think you are? do you still get your period when you are on the patch? I have no clue how any of that works.

Well I had ewcm on August 18th, so worst case lets say I ovulated on the 21st then I'd be 18dpo I guess. I know that doesn't sound too early but I have a history of not getting faint bfps until around 20dpo+

I do get my period when I am on the patch, you wear it for three weeks then on the fourth week you wear nothing and get your period. Tuesday is when I would take my patch off to get my period.

What would be sickly cruel about this is that we went through four years of infertility to have our first and we are medically not supposed to have more children for a few years.

This is from Ortho-Evra's website.

Thank you for that quote! I searched their site but could only find things like "what if I WANT to become pregnant...(on the patch) "

I took it off a few days ago. smile.gif
