My Back Problems, Went to the ER Today

I'm so depressed and in so much pain. Sitting hurts, standing hurts and lying down hurts. The doctor in the ER said that one of the disks in my back is out of allignment and has scheduled an MRI to be done on my back. I was given a prescription for anti-inflammatories and for Tylenol 3 with coedein. I can't work for a week, but my boss just said to call at the end of next week. I am not eligable for modified duty because the injury didn't happen at work. I just got back last week after needing to take 2 weeks off for personal reasons and now this! I missed working so much those 2 weeks and was really starting to enjoy being back. I'm also worried that I might get fired even though I have passed my probation period. I just want to cry!

Don't stress about work, you won't get fired. Worrying won't do you any good, just concentrate on taking it easy. You've got a legitimate medical reason for not being able to work so nothing can happen with your job, I am sure if you need it a doctor will give you a medical certificate to say you aren't able to work for a week.
